Ang Mo Kio Secondary School co-organised the 5th Singapore National Junior Scrabble Championship with The Scrabble Academy on 10th September 2009.
A total of 330 primary school pupils from 23 different schools participated in this event which is the greatest turn-out for the Junior Championships so far.
For the first time, the primary school pupils get to play 5 rounds instead of the normal 4 rounds of Scrabble games as played in previous competitions. It was a test of their mental endurance to complete all the 5 rounds in a day.
